<img alt="0719_randy_jackson_jermaine_jackson_article" src="http://ll-media.tmz.com/2012/07/19/0719-randy-jackson-jermaine-jackson-article-3.jpg" /><br />
Randy and Jermaine Jackson are trying to get at Michael Jackson's money, by hatching a sinister plot involving Katherine Jackson ... so claim sources connected with the Michael Jackson Estate.<br />
<br />
Randy, Jermaine, Janet, Tito and Rebbie Jackson all signed a letter, demanding that the Executors of the MJ Estate step down, claiming the executors are failing so badly, the stress caused Katherine to suffer a stroke.<br />
<br />
Sources connected with the Estate are now lashing back, telling TMZ they believe Randy and Jermaine (they are not including the others) are strapped for cash and know when Katherine dies there is no way they can get their hands on a penny of MJ's fortune -- that's because all of the money goes to charity and in trust for Michael's 3 kids.<br />
<a name='more'></a>Our sources believe ... Randy and Jermaine are trying to make it appear that Katherine is infirm and may need a conservatorship. And the sources further believe Randy and Jermaine will try and get themselves appointed as her conservators, which would give them access to more than $70,000 a month.<br />
<br />
We know Katherine's people have denied she had a stroke. As for the Estate failing miserably, it seems like bad timing, because new court docs just revealed the Estate has grossed nearly half a billion dollars, wiping out MJ's massive debt. Calls to Randy and Jermaine have not been returned. <br />
<br />
Jermaine Jackson has released a statement, through a rep, saying, "I note that this 'story' comes from 'sources close to the Estate'. It, therefore, does not surprise me that such a wildly false claim is being invented, presumably to deflect attention away from this family's very real concerns about the Estate."<br /><br />The statement continues, "This claim is as far-fetched as it is untrue, but such are the anti-Jackson falsehoods we have come to expect from 'sources close to the Estate.'" "I will reiterate that this family's first and foremost concern is our mother's health, welfare and well-being. Nothing else."</div>

In a move that will expand his entertainment resume, one of Zimbabwe’s urban grooves patriarchs, Leonard Mapfumo will star in an upcoming local film titled Players. The film focuses on a young person whose dream is to venture into music, but faces difficulties along the way.<br /><br />Mapfumo told the Daily news that he was looking forward to the film as he has never featured in a flick before. “I have done radio plays including Mopani junction but I have never done any screen plays. This will be my debut. I never really considered acting as I thought it was not my thing, my love was in music. I have a friend, Blessing who kept encouraging me to audition then I finally did. It is still something new and I am waiting to see how it will come out,” he said.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />Mapfumo said he was looking forward to exploring his acting skills which he hopes will take him places. “It is a new experience and I do not know where it will take me. We have not started shooting yet, we will start next week. I will be working with seasoned actors including some from Tiriparwendo, Think and other local films,” said Mapfumo.<br /><br />The film is being produced by John Ruben Films in association with Tasimba Productions. It was written by John Rubeni. “The film features a music story that revolves in a ghetto. It will be shot mainly in Highfield high density area in Harare. I will play the lead character who believes he can make it into the music scene even though he has financial constraints."<br /><br />“He is misled in a way as he comes from the ghetto and his peers convince him that he has to make money by any means necessary. This leads him to crime and he gets arrested." “At the same time he impregnates his girlfriend, he is overwhelmed and does not know what to do, which makes him turn to God for help. I am not sure about how it will end as there are two endings and they have not decided on the ending,” said Mapfumo.<br /><br />Mapfumo’s fans will have more to look forward to as he will drop his fourth album in September. “I am releasing an album in september as I want to give two year periods for people to appreciate my music. My last release was in 2010."<br /><br />“This new one will carry 10 tracks and I will feature a South African artiste. We will announce who it is in due course as we are still rounding up some things." “On the album I am working with Mcdee, Lazzy Tee and another guy from the United States called Jay. Local artistes who I am featuring include Roki, Otis Ngwabi, Rute and others."<br /><br />“It will be my fourth album,” he said. Mapfumo is among the first breed of urban groovers and he made his mark with the song Seiko on which he featured Roki. From there he produced other hits including Maidei, Two Chete, Shevedza, Ndiwe, Miss Makadii and others. He co-owns Heshi Mfeshi studio with producer, Joe Machingura. <div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong>Author and famous actor, <a href="http://www.zimbeatnews.com/">Aaron Chiundura</a> Moyo says people find it odd that he is a single man at 62. But it does not bother him at all.</strong><br />
<br />
He says despite his age he is still a huge hit with the ladies. But he chooses to stay single for now. Chiundura Moyo said the last time he mentioned that he was single he was flooded with offers from various women from around the country. He said some offered him cars and houses for his affection.<br />
<br />
For him work is a priority right now. Chiundura Moyo has two children, one of whom was born out of his relationship with the late actress Stembeni Makawa who starred as Mai Gwesheshe in the famed Gringo dramas. His children also acted in the drama series Tiriparwendo.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
Aaron Chiundura Moyo was born in 1950 at Guinea Fowl, 12km from Gweru in the Midlands region of Zimbabwe. His father was a farm labourer hence Chiundura-Moyo attended Shoe Shine school, a farm school and later became a farm worker before moving to Harare where he first got a job as a gardener. With such a seemingly bleak future Aaron was not to lose hope.<br />
<br />
Aaron started private studies which saw him sailing through Ordinary Level up to an English and Communications Degree with the Zimbabwe Open University. He attributes his love for writing to his father whom he says was a very good story teller and a lover of films, thus apart from folklore, he would time and again take them for movies.<br />
<br />
His passion for writing was ignited by the success of his first short story which went on to be read on air at the then Rhodesia Broadcasting Corporation Radio Two when he was in Form One. More so while at Connermara he was influenced by the now defunct Literature Bureau, which used to tour schools nationwide.<br />
<br />
He then went on to write "Ziva Kwawakabva" which made it to literature bureau for publication in 1974. With the success of his first book, Aaron did not look back. Books like Uchandifungawo (1975), Wakandicheka Nerakagomara, Nguwo Dzeuswa, Yaive Hondo, Ndabve Zera and Chemera Mudundundu among many other novels came along.<br />
<br />
Chiundura Moyo has also contributed immensely to the Zimbabwean film industry. Having joined the ZBC television in 1987 Aaron has written, directed, produced and even acted in many television dramas. His first drama, Chioko Muhomwe (1987) was a success which brought him a number of awards.<br />
<br />
In Chioko Muhomwe, Aaron was the writer and the main actor. With the success of Chioko Muhomwe and the subsequent scholarship he got from ZBC to go to Germany for a Diploma in Radio and Television Drama production, Aaron worked on numerous other television dramas like Ziva Kwawakabva, and Ndabvezera which was later adapted for radio.<br />
<br />
He also did Madhunamutuna, Zviri Mudendere - part one and two, Masimba, Zevezeve and Chihwerure/Mafuro manyoro. Aaron has not only followed other artists' footsteps, but has been on the forefront of initiating things. He is the brains behind Zimbabwe's first soap, Studio 263 which he at first named MuHarare Hamurarwe. He, however, quit Studio 263 at the time when the soap had just celebrated its second anniversary. Reasons as to why he quit are still not known.<br />
<br />
He is also the first to bring on television, Zimbabwe's first traditional drama, Tiriparwendo, in which he introduces "nhembe" on television. Other works of Chiundura Moyo include, Matekenyapfungwa, Other side of the river, Kereke Yofa, Zviri mudende, and Madhunamutuna.</div>ZimbeatNewshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16681744254418016436noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2237798851001244268.post-39982028587966204542012-07-20T11:39:00.002+02:002012-07-20T11:39:34.216+02:00Dendera dynasty lives on<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">The late music maestro - Simon 'Chopper' Chimbetu</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
NO music family in Zimbabwe has ever had the honour of being successfully equated to the famous Jacksons than the <a href="http://www.zimbeatnews.com/">Chimbetu</a> siblings. Many pundits continue to draw more similarities from the two</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
families’ music histories despite the fact that they live in different worlds.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />While the Jacksons became famous with their pop music, that became an instant phenomenon the world over in the early 1970s, the Chimbetus are also famous for their rich tradition of producing good artistes and good music. Just like the Jacksons, — Jermaine, Jackie (real name Sigmund) Tito (real name Toriano), Marlon and Michael — the Chimbetus, through the late gifted composer, instrumentalist and singer Simon, have a music dynasty that spans decades.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />This music heritage has been kept alive with the number of artistes that the family is producing “everyday”. To date, close to 10 artistes have emerged from the Chimbetu dynasty. The influence continues to grow because some musicians who are not even related to the family have been inspired by them. The fact, however, remains etched to the rise of Simon, who is credited for being the founder of the timeless dendera beat.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />This heritage has been made stronger right to this day, seven years after Simon’s death. If the truth be told, dendera has become a big music brand in Zimbabwe, and no one can lay claim to it except for the Chimbetus. Simon started off his music career with determination and passion and this saw him teaming up with his younger brother Naison (also late) to form the Marxist Brothers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />The Marxist Brothers — whose name was inspired by Simon’s liberation struggle background — grew to become a force to reckon with in local music circles. The two brothers recorded a string of albums which caught the attention of all and sundry. While the Jacksons made it big with hits like “I Want You Back,” “ABC”, “The Love You Save” “I’ll Be There,” “Mama’s Pearl”, “Never Can Say Goodbye” and “Maybe Tomorrow” among other chart toppers, the Chimbetu siblings were also burning their own trail of success on the Zimbabwean music scene. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />They recorded hits like “Mwana Wedangwe” (1983), “Kunjere Kunjere” (1985), “Dendera Resango” (1985,) “Sarura Wako” (1987), “Kuipa Chete” (1988), “Marxist Brothers” (1989) and “Boterekwa” (1989). Simon can, without doubt be credited for this success and he became the most successful of the Chimbetu brothers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />He emerged even stronger after Marxist Brothers went their separate ways with Naison forming his own G7 Commandos. Simon continued to shine with the Orchestra Dendera Kings. The group also spawned other artistes in the mould of Solo Makore, who formed Fogo Fire. There was also Foster The Force while his brother Briam held fort when Simon was in jail for receiving stolen property.<br />Simon spent four years in jail from 1989.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />Allan led the group soon after Simon’s death. Simon’s fame rose to greater heights after his release churning hit albums such as “Pachipamwe”, “Survival” and “Lullaby”. Briam had, during Simon’s incarceration, released the album “First Cut”, which received fair reception from dendera fans. Allan is also another musician who emerged from the Chimbetu family and because of Simon’s influence, guided the ship soon after his brother’s demise.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />So strong is the music influence in the Chimbetu family that Simon’s son, Suluman, has also taken after his late father. “Mwana Wedangwe”, as Sulu is fondly called in music circles after one of his father’s songs of the same name, is among the country’s top musicians. He is even touted as the Simon incarnate after mastering his father’s most famous songs.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />Adding to the matrix Naison’s son Tryson, who is arguably the best among the crop. Then more recently Douglas, son to Allan, has entered the fray although he is still trying to make a name for himself. He might be “sleeping” in his grave but Simon must be a happy man after laying the foundation for the dendera dynasty. And, like the Jackson family, the Chimbetus have also inspired their female siblings to develop an interest in music. Simon, fondly known as Chopper, has a daughter Saiwe, who has an album to her name.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />She was also a backing vocalist for the late Sam Mtukudzi’s group, AY Band. Recently, another Chimbetu product, 16-year-old Miriam, sister to Tryson, also announced her interest in music. She might be a girl and still of school-going age, but she has shown the world that she can carry the music torch from uncle Simon and dad Naison. She is a gifted guitarist and vocalist, who has featured at a number of her brother’s shows and has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Alick Macheso among others.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />Similarly, the Jackson family has produced female singers in Janet and La Toya. Looking at the history of the Chimbetu family, it is clear that Simon was an artiste who was determined to live a lasting heritage for his family. While some people only think of living for their children and relatives assets like houses or cars, Simon was determined to giving his kith and kin a fishing rod in the form of music. Family members continue to feed off the legacy started in the late 70s, growing to be a brand that surely will last forever.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />Simon believed in imparting talent to others and this is one thing that has put the Chimbetu family on the music map, just like the Jackson family. Simon was born on September 23, 1955, in Musengezi and attended Musengezi High school before moving to Harare. He went to Tanzania for military training after joining the liberation struggle. </div>

Simon returned home shortly before the war ended and started a legacy that produced chart-busters like “Nguva Yakaoma” (1990), “Ndouraiwa” (1992), “Pachipamwe” (1994), “Survival” (1997), “Zuva Raenda” (1997), “Lullaby”, (1998), “African Panorama-Chapter One”, (1999), “2000 Blend” (2000), “African Panorama-Chapter Two” (2001), “Hoko” (2002) and “10 Million Pounds Reward” (2005). It is clear that the music torch Simon lit decades ago shall, like the Olympic Flame, continue burning for many more years to come. Herald</div>

Sulumani Chimbetu has struck a deal with the Northern Cruise Tour Company in Kariba where he will entertain tourists on a boat cruise on Saturday. Alois Chimbangu, managing director of the cruise firm, yesterday said he was elated about the deal.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />“We have invited him to be our cruise musician on Saturday (tomorrow) where he will perform for tourists from morning till late in the day,” Chimbangu said.<br /><br />“After the cruise, he will head to ZV Hotel where his legion of Kariba fans will have a chance to dance with him. He is going to tour all our properties on the same day and that is where we are going to discuss his new role as the ambassador of our company.”</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />Chimbangu said the move was in tandem with the tourism drive aimed at marketing Kariba and the country as a safe tourist destination. After reshuffling his management team, Sulu has struck a number of lucrative deals with various local companies like Zinara, Green Card Medical Aid Society and Kwekwe-based Autoworx.<br /><br />Joe Nyamungoma, Sulu’s public relations manager, confirmed the Kariba deal. “We were invited to Kariba for a cruise show and we are ready for it,” Kamungoma said.“This would be the first time we perform on such a platform and we are thrilled by the invitation which will see the beginning of even greater ventures for our brand.”<br /></div>ZimbeatNewshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16681744254418016436noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2237798851001244268.post-64387258121684747422012-07-20T10:46:00.001+02:002012-07-20T10:46:31.823+02:00Zimbabwean Preacher with great sense of humour - Must see video<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

Popular pole dancer Beverley Sibanda, aka Bev, wowed hundreds of fans with her raunchy routines at the City Sports Bar in Harare on Saturday night where she clashed with Bulawayo-based outfit Girls La Musica.<br /><br />The vivacious pole dancer performed a raunchy and erotic lap dance on a male fan she called onto the stage during her weekend show. Wearing a revealing red outfit and fishnet stockings, the dancer aggressively pushed the man back before straddling him and thrusting her body over the bemused man.<br /><br />And of course she did the bottle act but this time without the Castle Lager bottle. Delta Beverages, Zimbabwe’s beer manufacturer, has strongly objected to her use of their bottle in a controversial act. <br />Bev has a history of highly-sexualised and provocative performances but took it to a whole new level during the “2 in 1 Clash of the Dancing Queens” at the City Sport Bar.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />Bulawayo-based Girls La Musica troupe was also in their element with their racy stage show. As Girls La Musica performed, the arena went crazy, whipping their long hair wildly. The Bulawayo outfit got temperatures rising as they slipped into a revealing pair of Springbok hot-pants and bra, thrusting their way through popular songs with some of the most risqué dance moves yet.<br /><br />The Bulawayo dance queens’ embellished two-piece left little to the imagination as it clung tightly to their dangerous curves that jiggled wildly to the rhythm of the beat. They paired the racy look with some fancy wool hats and giant florescent hoop earrings to add the extra wow-factor.<br /><br />Girls La Musica pulled out all the stops to match Bev’s raunchy and sexually-charged act. But at the end, it was Bev’s night, who had earlier threatened to ditch the performance after security demanded that her driver pays an admission fee.<br /><br />The setback was quickly addressed. The crowd went wild when Bev stepped onto the stage and gave the audience a slow dance. Her kinky performance has seen her fully-booked, but has also courted criticism for being too provocative.<br /><br />And yet it’s her performance in tiny shorts and strapless bra that sent fans on a frenzy. <tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">Sungura Maestro Alick Macheso</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Master of song and sungura great – Alick Macheso – whose popularity makes him one of the best followed musicians of his generation – has a new fight on his hands.<br /><br />The indefatigable bassist and Orchestra Mberikwazvo frontman has been hit hard by unscrupulous music dealers who have unleashed a fake CD on the market which pirates purport is his latest product.<br /><br />But his recording company is not losing sleep - calming his thousands of fans that the fake CD - Vhuvhuzela – is of no consequence. Last Power marketing manager Tich Makahamadze said Macheso is yet to release a new album since 2010.</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />Instead, he said Macheso will be releasing a new album this year. Makahamadze said he was deeply disturbed by pirating of Macheso’s music and he urged the nation and authorities to work towards ending the scourge.<br /><br />But Pirates are not worried by laxity in the law as they have been cashing on the fake CD whose dodgy songs can easily invite Macheso critics to blast him. It is shoddy and shorn in quality that those enamoured with Macheso’ musical works could be forgiven for pillorying him for “poor work”.<br /><br />Vhuvhuzela, remix June 2012, features a clip from his popular hit Tafadzwa, a song from Rodrek Chomudhara and some of his early hits. The album is being sold openly along Nelson Mandela road in Harare among a variety of other local music and some international beats.<br /><br />Extra Basso as Macheso is known for his exquisite bass guitar skills, last released Zvinoda Kutendwa in 2010 where he outpaced his own guitar strumming prowess with Tafadzwa. The nation and those beyond have been waiting for Macheso’s new release and the pirates decided to take advantage.<br /><br />Macheso sells hot and has often fallen victim to pirates. No one knows for sure whether his two-year delay in releasing a new album was a strategy to deal with pirates but on the evidence of the fake CD, it backfired.<br /><br />Piracy has been a big problem to the extent of forcing government to play as visible but feeble role in trying to curb it. <tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">Beverley Sibanda</span></td></tr>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
THE mere mention of her name conjures images of sensual, seductive and erotic dances — an affront of female dignity. In a world where dancing is assumed a vertical expression of horizontal desires, many men who flock to Beverly Sibanda’s shows are left drooling. What a pleasure manager!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />At her shows, some sloshed fans are even heard shouting: “I won’t go home, home should follow me to where Bev will be.” Such is her magical touch.<br /><br />But when you associate with her, you will be surprised to note that she has two contrasting characters. Explosive and mad on stage! Calm, cool and composed at home. Call it the idyll of separating work from leisure!</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />Harare’s popular dancer Beverly, or simply Bev, isn’t the sort of person you would expect to be quiet, reserved and shy when confined to the comfort of her home. Her stage work, characterised by scanty dressing, stunning flexibility and the controversial stunt of sitting on the bottle, make her the raunchy one.<br /><br />But the truth is, away from work, Bev spends most of her time at home in Helensvale where she rents a one-bed roomed apartment. There, it is quiet and homely and you would be forgiven to think you have come to the wrong place when she welcomes you, decently dressed, too.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />“When I am not on stage I enjoy watching television, doing house chores and relaxing on the bed or on the couch as I sip on a glass or two of Amarula,” she said. When The Herald Entertainment visited Bev at her home this week, she looked relaxed and her car — a Honda CRV — was parked outside the gate. Hallo and welcome to my lodgings,” she said.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />“What took you so long; I almost fell asleep on the couch.”Bev looked like a housewife in a long red floral dress with matching golden pumps. She led us to her cottage and inside, there were lots of Amarula bottles, some full and others empty.<br /><br />“It is really nice and quiet out here. At least I get to rest, cook and clean the house without any disturbances,” she said. The 21-year-old “queen of the dance floor”, who has popularised the sitting on the bottle dance stunt, where she gyrates on top of an empty beer bottle, is a mother of one, Kudzai, who is turning four this year.<br /><br />“At first I used to live with my son but then due to my busy schedule I decided to take him to my sister’s place. I work throughout the week because of the demand from my fans. Hitting the gym is for those people who have time for that. I usually work out when I am on stage,” she said.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />For Bev, dance comes naturally and she effortlessly moves her body like a snake, rhythmically to music, although she takes at least three to four bottles of Redbull per show. You got to give her credit for reviving dancing as an important genre in entertainment. Most her fans are men.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />“The thing is what I do on stage is work and I get inspiration from fans because they demand to see different styles and they enjoy it. “I believe I am not responsible for what they do afterwards, but a good number of them have opened up saying that they always think about their wives after <br />attending my shows,” she explained.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />She says she is always a step ahead of her competitors because she is creative and innovative. “What I do is different from others and I am not a pole dancer. My dances come naturally and I always do the unimaginable because that’s what it takes to be a star,” she said. Bev said she is in a serious relationship she is looking forward to getting married in the next six or so years.<br /><br />“I have a boyfriend and he appreciates my work so much. He is very much secure because he knows I am a professional dancer. “However, there are men who make sexual advances at me but I turn them down. “I don’t give fans my phone number and I rarely move around without my security personnel. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After shows I usually sneak out through the back because I don’t like the attention I get from men,” she said. Herald<br /></div>

It is rare to find a public figure or a celebrity frequently looked upon as an inspiration to many people, humbling themselves and seeking financial help from ordinary people. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is the case with up-and-coming Afro-traditional musician Edith Katiji, aka Edith weUtonga. She appealed to her fans and friends on the social platform Facebook on Sunday for financial assistance to enable her to attend the Blankets and Wine Festival in Kenya, on September 2.<br />
<br />
The festival is a premier Afro-based monthly picnic-style music extravaganza in East Africa designed to showcase Afro-fusion musical genres. It started in 2008. Music superstar Oliver Mtukudzi and Chiwoniso Maraire have performed there before.<br />

So after realising that I had over 5 000 friends on Facebook I just took a gamble, gathered my guts and thought it was better I tried to appeal than regret later,” Katiji said.</div>

There’s an old saying, “He who laughs last, laughs the hardest.” For NBA player Kris Humphries, he’s laughing all the way to the bank. The power forward re-signed with the Brooklyn Nets in a two-year, $24 million deal. It looks like Jay-Z didn’t drop him from the team after all.<a name='more'></a>Humphries’ agreement is a major salary bump from his one-year, $8 million contract last season. “Kris has been a very consistent player for us over the past two years,” Nets general manager Billy King said in a statement (via <a href="http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id/8173231/2012-nba-free-agency-kris-humphries-brooklyn-nets-agree-deal">ESPN</a>). “He has developed into one of the top rebounding forwards in the league, and we are very pleased to welcome him back.”<br /><br />This is certainly good news for the 27-year-old b-baller who is also infamous for his 72-day marriage to Kim Kardashian. The pair is now embroiled in a public and tumultuous divorce battle that has lasted longer than their marriage.<br /><br />For those of you who don’t know, Kanye West is currently dating Humphries’ ex-wife. On a song called ‘Cold’ (aka ‘Theraflu’), Yeezy brags that he could have Jay-Z, who is a co-owner of the Nets, fired him from the team. The line goes: “And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim / ‘Round the same time she had fell in love with him / Well that’s cool, baby girl, do ya thing / Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop him from the team.”<br /><br />Of course, this is not true since Jay-Z is not in charge of staff, but it was a seething diss nonetheless. For the most part, Humphries took the put-down in stride and even made a parody video where he threw a subliminal jab at West.<br /><br />Following the news that he re-upped with the Brooklyn Nets, Humphries posted the following tweet: <div class="entry-content">

I'm up at Brooklyn! <a class="vcard" href="https://twitter.com/S_C_" title="Mr. Carter">@<b>S_C_</b></a> "lucky I didn't have Jay drop me from the team" lol!<br /><br /> </div>
