Chris Brown’s ‘Fortune’ Tops Billboard 200, Singer Celebrates With ‘Bandit’ Tattoo

As expected, Chris Brown‘s fifth album ‘Fortune’ premiered at No. 1 on the latest Billboard 200 album chart. The collection moved 134,000 copies in its first week release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

This will be Brown’s second No. 1 album of his storied career. His first came in 2011 with ‘F.A.M.E.,’ which sold 270,000 copies in its first week. ‘Fortune’ didn’t move as many units as ‘F.A.M.E.’ did, but it’s a solid start for the crooner who’s been on a long comeback journey.

To celebrate his latest chart achievement, Breezy added another piece of artwork to his body. The 23-year-old singer recently unveiled a picture of his new tattoo he calls “The Bandit.” We are not sure where it’s located at on his body, but we are quite sure it’s close to his heart.

Chris Brown partied with English soccer star Wayne Rooney in Los Angeles this week. The 'Beautiful People' singer was sent two bottles of champagne by the Manchester United player after he spotted him in the AV nightclub, and the stars then hung out at adjoining tables.

Chris hit the headlines recently after he was involved in a bottle-slinging club brawl with Drake in June. The rapper returned a bottle of bubbly to Chris' table with a note about his ex-lover Rihanna which reportedly read: "I'm f***ing the love of your life, deal with it."

But the 23-year-old musician was much more accepting of Wayne's offer of some Ace of Spades bubbly and the pair and their entourages happily partied next to each other, according to The New York Post newspaper.

Chris Brown has something to say and he's doing it with an intimidating new tattoo. The multi-hyphenate star whose body was already filled with ink, just got the bold tattoo added to his neck.Tattoo artist Peter Koskela tweeted pictures of the 23-year-old star getting inked on Friday night at Black Banditz on L.A.'s trendy Melrose Avenue.

Young Money queen Nicki Minaj has weighed in on the violent nightclub brawl between Chris Brown and Drake at club W.i.P. in New York City. In a recent interview with U.K. radio personality Tim Westwood, the rapper remained loyal to her YMCMB team and supported her labelmate Drake.

“Young Money till the death of me,” she said in her faux British accent. “I don’t approve of talented people doing things that aren’t conducive to an amazing career.”

“And so — you know — I spoke to Drake and I told him from the bottom of my heart how I felt. I’m like, ‘Baby you are a superstar, and I need you to realize that.’ He did nothing wrong of course, rumors are rumors, but I told him to remember who you are.”

New York club looses liquor license over Chris- Drake fight

From now on, the only bottles flying at W.i.P. nightclub will be of the non-alcoholic sort ... because officials in NYC have officially suspended the club's liquor license.

The New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) ordered the booze ban last night, citing "ten separate assault and altercations beginning on March 11 2012, and leading up to a large brawl at the club on June 14, 2012" -- the night of the Drake vs. Chris Brown fight.

The SLA says it has hit the club with 17 Alcoholic Beverage Control Law violations ... including drug activity (twice) ... lack of supervision ... using the name "W.I.P." without SLA authorization ... and "becoming a drain on police resources."

According to the SLA, the ban is "effective immediately ... no alcohol can be served or consumed on the premises." Following the brawl, the club was shut down by the NYPD ... now it seems highly unlikely the place will ever open its doors again. TMZ

Lil Wayne and the rest of the Young Money crew want Drake to put an end to his beef with Chris Brown ... STAT -- because the bad blood is bad for busine$.

It's a sign that as bad ass as rap may be ... the bottom line is the bottom line.

Sources close to Drake tell TMZ, Drizzy has received several calls from Weezy, Birdman, Mack Maine and more -- urging the rapper to extend an olive branch to Brown after last week's nightclub brawl in NYC.

Sources tell us, Wayne and co. are worried the rift will affect business -- since Brown appears on several tracks with Young Money members and, pure and simple, Brown = hits.

We're told Drake doesn't want to reach out to Breezy until he knows CB doesn't actually blame him for last week's melee -- despite what Brown's lawyer has been saying ... that Drake was one of the aggressors.

We're told Young Money's on Drake's side no matter what -- but as one source put it, "Making money matters most."

Chris Brown is still delivering the hits like a mailman delivers letters. The R&B crooner recently dropped a preview of ‘Calypso,’ a song that will be available on June 19 via iTunes, but will not appear on his upcoming album ‘Fortune.’

The one-minute clip features only the hook, which goes, “You make me say, yoo-oouu / Just want to love, yoo-oouu / What cha want to do, yoo-oouu / Just lookin’ at, yoo-oouu.” Yeah, we don’t know what to make of it either. Listen to the track below:

Drake and Chris Brown fights for Rihanna

Drake flashed his middle finger, engaged in serious trash talk, and drafted several other rappers to join his posse ... minutes before the all out brawl with Chris Brown, according to multiple witnesses in the club.

We're told the tension started building when Drake gave the middle finger to one of Chris' bodyguards and shouted ... "I'm about to go whoop that ass!" Chris' entourage then returned fire with a few hand gestures of their own.

Witnesses -- who were very close to the action -- tell us that Drake felt disrespected ... even though he started the exchange ... and went to get backup from his boys Meek Mill, Juelz Santana, and Trav B.

At this point, we're told Drake got loud and shouted at Chris ... "You be on that ho s**t on Twitter n***a" -- a clear reference to a recent Twitter war between Chris, Drake, and Meek ... all over who's banging Rihanna.

Moments later we're told Chris' security guards got irate, pushing and shoving began between Meek, Juelz and Chris' posse -- and you know the rest.

Interestingly, everyone agrees Drake never got physically involved in the brawl -- even though his mouth ... and finger ... sparked it all.  TMZ

"I hope this album shows growth and positivity to all my fans and will inspire them to live life to the fullest!!!" Brown posted on his Twitter this week about the upcoming May 8 album release.

Chris Brown Twitter account featured an angry tirade of messages today, lashing out at critics who slammed his Grammys return - three years after he assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna.Country singer Miranda Lambert was among a chorus of celebs who voiced their dismay that Brown had been honoured with a gong at the awards show on Sunday.

It prompted a furious response on Brown's Twitter account, who received a Grammy for best R&B album for his fourth album F.A.M.E. 'HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate F*** OFF,' on angry tweet read.
