If you happen to be in Harare between 30 to 7 October make a date to attend the 2011 Zimbabwe film Festival in Harare. This year's theme is 'Finding new ground'. The new ZIFF is going to bring primarily new provocative and cutting edge African Feature films, short films, and documentaries to Harare.
some of the songs that has been showcased on the main screen include: ' An African election', The resumption of general butt Naked, Sinking sands, Viva Diva. The Festival includes a a week of workshops that focus on conscientious film-making.
The Festival will be held at various locations in Harare and Bulawayo. In Harare the festival will take place in Harare Gardens, Alliance Francaise, Embassy of Spain, Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton, and African Youths skills. In Bulwayo the event will take place at Bulawayo National Gallery.
