A biography of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs being the former Time Magazine managing editor Walter Isaacson will be released in November, say publisher Simon & Schuster. Online retail giant Amazon lists the release date for the book, Steve Jobs: A Biography, as 6 March, 2012 but Simon & Schuster’s lists publicity department told AFP in an email it will go on sale on 21 November. The 448-page book is the first authorised biography of the technology visionary behind Macintosh Computer, the iPod, the IPhone and iPad.
According to US book seller Barnes & Noble, the book is based on more than 40 interviews conducted with Jobs over a two-year period and interviews with over 100 ‘family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues. Although Jobs co-operated with this book, he asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. Steve put nothing off limits and instead encouraged the people he knew to speak honestly, even foes, former girlfriends and colleagues he had once fired or infuriated.
