Tendayi Mupfurutsa is Alive and Kicking

Harare, 17 Auguts, 2011 – The widely rumoured death of Musician, Tendayi Prince Mupfurutsa on Social networks and Zimbabwe is FALSE, Radio VOP revealed. Face Book and Twitter as well as the music industry was awash with rumour that the musician who is faned for his monster hit song, ‘Character’ had died in China where he is receiving treatment.
Barbed wire singer Tendayi Prince Mupfurutsa is battling a motor neurone disease which has affected his mobility and speech. Most arts friends of the star, Will Wattaffi formerly of Africa Revenge and close friend confirmed that they heard the rumour and were not sure of the actual truth. Radio VOP managed to get an SMS from the singer from China in which he joked, ‘saka handichafa…’ (So I will never die). I am okay, Said Prince Tendayi.
Speculation  had been rife that Prince Tendayi’s condition could have been a result of the huge financial losses after he brought in RnB singer Akon and dancehall star Sean Paul to Harare for a concert, a claim he has refuted. Mupfurutsa recently released an album called ‘something Mysterious’ narrating his ordeal.
The album comprises new and yesteryear hits. Degeneration of the motor neurone leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing.
Tendayi is a talented RnB singer and composer. We wish him all the best. You can sample one of his songs below called 'Naked Fire'.
