Zimbabwe BBA Amplified Winner still waiting for his $200,000 from MNet

It is now one-and-a half months since the Big Brother Amplified (BBA) reality show came to an end but one of the winners of the show, Wendall Parson, is still to get his prize money. For winning the show, Wendall and Karen Igho from Nigeria were supposed to get $200 000 each among other prizes.Earlier communication with Karen showed that she was also waiting for the money from MNet.
Wendall seems to be very unfortunate as some of the prizes he won were stolen on his way back home from South Africa. Up to now, the prizes, which include the latest iPad, iPods and iPhone, have not been found.MultiChoice Zimbabwe head of Marketing and Communications, Gerald Chinogara told NewsDay that the delays in payment were mainly because Wendall had no bank account in Zimbabwe.Asked if Wendall’s money had since been deposited into his bank account, Chinogara said he could not comment on behalf of MNet.“For the actual dates, contact the people from MNet or Wendall because I cannot speak on their behalf,” he said.Wendall’s mother, Gillian Jackson, admitted that Wendall did not have a Zimbabwean bank account when he entered BBA.“Wendall did not have a bank account when he entered BBA but he immediately opened one when he got back home,” she said. Wendall confirmed that he had not yet received his $200 000 from MNet.“I have been communicating to the people from MNet and they said they were in the process of depositing the money into my bank account,” he said. Efforts to get a comment from MNet officials in South Africa were fruitless. Newsdzezimbabwe.
