Joe Thomas to Play in South Africa in December



FANS of popular American R&B and soul singer Joe Thomas will have an opportunity to see him play in South Africa in December. Joe will hold two-gigs in South African. Show promoters Afropulse Entertainment have confirmed two dates for Thomas (known to his fans simply as Joe) - Sandton Convention Centre on December 17 and Durban ICC on 18 December.

Regarded - especially by female fans - as an R&B crooner and super sexy guy, Thomas is expected to deliver a perfect Christmas gift for his fans during this tour, aptly called Joe Thomas South African Music Tour.Thomas is highly regarded , and is often compared to his former stablemate R Kelly.

A few days after the release of the first single from his coming ninth studio album, an excited Thomas first broke the news of his South African tour in an interview with a US radio station recently. "I'll be performing in Johannesburg and Durban. It's festive season, it's summer, it's Christmas! I perceive this to be a perfect opportunity to interact with my South African fans.

"I'm looking forward to spending quality time with couples, newlyweds and friends, but more importantly, I wanna meet all the single ladies," he said. Afropulse Entertainment yesterday confirmed to the Sowetan that the R&B star is in fact coming to South Africa. The infectious singer is popular for hit songs such asIf I Was Your Man, All the Things Your Man won't Do, I Wanna Know (what turns you on), and it is such love-themed music that has touched the hearts of his female fans throughout the world.

Having released his first album, Everything, in 1993, and having been celebrated as one of the true R&B voices of his generation, Thomas refuses to slow down. The southern soul man is still giving everything to his chosen profession. Retaining the emotion and passion that made him a silky-voiced sensation loved throughout the world, Thomas continues to strive for soul perfection. Earlier this year, he blessed fans with the song Closer.
