Rambo Actor Charles Napier dies at 75

Actor Charles Napier, famous for his tough-guy roles in The Blues Brothers, Rambo, and Silence of the Lambs, has died in at 75. Long-time friend Dennis Wilson said Napier died on yesterday at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in California.
He is understood to have collapsed in his home on Tuesday and was rushed to intensive care before being taken off life support the following afternoon. The cause of death is still unknown, however he is reported to have suffered blood clots in his legs in the past.

Napier, who had a square jaw and toothy grin, may be best known as the scheming intelligence officer facing Sylvester Stallone in the 1985 Rambo sequel. He is also remembered as Good Ole Boys front man Tucker McElroy in the 1980 musical comedy film The Blues Brothers. Napier was the judge in 1993's Philadelphia, and he was Lt Bill Boyle in 1991's Silence of the Lambs. In recent years, Napier voiced the character of Dr. Spelts on the animated series Archer.

Earlier this year he released a autobiography, Square Jaw and Big Heart. The twice-divorced star is survived by his sons Whit and Hunter, and his daughter Meghan.
