High Wycombe’s Adams Park, is the venue for the inaugural Zimbabwean Music and Arts Awards UK on November 26. The event will award UK-based Zimbabweans who have excelled in visual and literary arts as well as music as decided by public nomination and poll on the event website. Rise Up Investment Limited, organizers of last year’s ZimAwards Ball are pulling out all the stops to ensure the event will be even bigger. The headline event will be Afrobeat duo Mashasha and Sam, supported by the immensely talented Tawanda Chitifa and Music Icons of Africa.
Critically accliamed gospel artist Jane Doka, who recently released her album “Reflection Mirangariro” will be providing food for the soul in a gospel line up that also includes the melodious sounds of Mantongande. For reggae lovers, especially Lovers’ Rock, there is a treat in stall in the shape of the legendary Judy Boucher who is well known throughout the world for her tracks “You Caught My Eye” and “Can’t Be With You Tonight” among others.There will be a raffle and an auction on the evening where proceeds will go towards a Christmas Cheer Fund for the Apostolic Faith Mission International Ministries and Widows and Single Mothers Association.
