When David Beckham is seen acting in his adverts, he come across as sultry, mysterious and overall believable. But unfortunately the same cannot be said for Wayne Rooney, who has made his acting debut in an advert for Casillero del Diablo wine. The 26-year-old footballer has been mocked mercilessly by fans on Twitter for his complete lack of acting skills following the advert premiere, which shows the footballer talking to teammates Patrice Evra and Ryan Giggs about the arrival of the 'new devil'.
Attempting to look brooding, Rooney stares onto the Old Trafford pitch as he delivers his lines woodenly. Evra doesn't fare much better, with Giggs proving the most believable of the trio in the advert. A source told The Sun: 'The players were selected at random but the chosen three were well up for it.
