Gospel music artist Pastor Charles Charamba has commended fast-rising musician Blessing Shumba saying the new kid on the block has a bright future in the industry. Shumba and Charamba shared the stage for the first time at Chitungwiza Aquatic complex recently in a fascinating show that left fans asking for more.
Charamba said it was a blessing sharing the stage with a visionary person such as Shumba whose performance showed maturity and total commitment to the gospel genre. The event was very fruitful and I was blessed sharing stage with a focused man like Blessing who indeed is a blessing and I hope it has become clear to our gospel fans that we all have one mission of spreading the word of God, said Charamba.
Charamba said he celebrates the rise of musicians of Shumbas calibre in the gospel fraternity as they will fit into gaps left by veteran musicians like Brian Sibalo and Jordan Chataika among others who passed away.
Considering the death of pillars of gospel genre such as Brian Sibalo, Jordan Chataika, I celebrate the birth of visionary and vibrant musicians like Blessing Shumba, Sebastian Magacha and Innocent Gakaka among others.
He urged people to consider the lyrics delivered by an artist and stop comparing musicians as they often lost the taste of quality music. People deprive themselves of variety and quality music by wanting to compare musicians yet we operate with one common goal. In a separate interview, Shumba echoed Charambas sentiments saying people should stop comparing gospel musicians as they all sing for the glory of God.
People should not compare musicians and try to create lists of who is better than the other because we all sing for the lord and we aim at spreading the word of God. They should listen to the message and praise God who is the source of our message, said Shumba. The Mugodhi Apostolic Church pastor said he had nice time sharing the stage with Pastor Charamba and was inspired to another level.
Its nice to share the same podium with the man of God and I was highly lifted up to another dimension. He is a real man of God, he said. (DailyNews)
