Gospel musician Stanley Gwanzura popularly known as Pastor G in music circles will share the stage with Pastor Prince “The Real Mwana waMambo” Mafukidze in South Africa on March 3. The concert dubbed “It’s my season, it’s my time” will be held at Praise City in Johannesburg. Speaking to the Daily News yesterday Pastor G said he will feature Pastor Prince in a South African concert which is meant to promote the latter’s fourth album, It’s My Season, which features the group Praise Outcome.
“The concert will also feature one or two local artists,” said Pastor G. Pastor G who is seemingly enjoying a low profile in the media recently released two singles Tose and Dreaming Again expected to keep revellers on their feet on the March 3 concert. Dreaming Again is a track that is focused on resuscitating hope, love and dreaming again in a country that had suffered economic upheaval in the past couple of years.
Mafukidze is expected to churn out hit songs from his previous albums such as From Where I Stand (2000), It’s Ok (2003) and Ndamirira which was released in 2007. Pastor G is among the pioneers of urban grooves music genre in the country. Currently the musician is pursuing a degree with a local distance-learning institute.
“I am busy studying for my degree which I hope to complete soon as well as running other businesses,” said the Tshibilika hit maker who has found his new base in Botswana. In a previous interview with the Daily News over his latest offering Mafukidze said he is happy that almost everyone got something from the album that carries Shona, Ndebele or Zulu and English songs.
The album carries 10 songs. Other plug songs on the album are Swedera Mudhuze, Wonderful, Everywhere I go, Dai Matora, Spirit Move, Breeze of Heaven, Sweet Anointing, Alabaster Box and Mama’s Song.
