Kim and Kris |
Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries may have been short-lived, but the reality star is making sure her wedding guests know that their gifts were not sent in vain. The 31-year-old sent a letter to everyone who attended her big day, informing them that she had calculated the amount the presents were worth and then made a donation to a good cause.
A note that was sent by Kim to her guests said: ‘I would like to thank you for your generous and thoughtful wedding gift. ‘It has taken me some time to pull everything together but I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation, an organization that I am very passionate about.’
A representative for the star confirmed to Mail Online that the note was from Kim, and that she made the generous donation to the charity, which she has worked with for a number of years. However her estranged husband is said to believe that Kim has no right to keep the wedding gifts - he thinks every item should be given back to the guests, TMZ reports. A source told the magazine that he believes the gifts should be returned because it was a 'fraudulent wedding'.
Kim married NBA star Kris on August 20, 2011, but the marriage lasted just 72 days. And the pair are rumoured to have earned $17.9m through publicity opportunities surrounding the wedding. However the star posted on her website amid the claims: 'There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. (Dailymail)
