Macheso, Jah Prayzah share stage tonight

Alick Macheso
Alick Macheso shares the stage for the first time with energetic young musician Mukudzei Mukombe aka Jah Prayzah at Jazz 105 tonight.

The show is likely to show how arts can bridge the generation gap since the two have proved popular in previous separate performances at the venue despite their different styles. Macheso is a tried and tested artist who churns out surprises with every performance.
From the day he released his first album, audiences cannot get enough of him. He is a performer who you can watch for several shows and still want some more from him. It will be the third time for Macheso to perform at Jazz 105 where Jah Prayzah staged several shows since the beginning of the year.

Jah Prayzah has had regular Wednesday slots, but tonight he has to put maximum effort to make a mark since Macheso will be counting on experience to deliver a flawless act. Jah Prayzah’s popularity is growing rapidly due to his unique approach to music.

Earlier this week Josh Hozheri, organiser of the gig, said he had opted for the duo for diversity. “Anyone will agree that the two artists’ concepts are exceptional. I cannot talk about Macheso because everyone knows what to expect,” said Hozheri.

“As for Jah Prayzah, he has brought a new dimension to this business. His presentation is exceptional and he fits well into up-market venues.” culled from Newsday
