Ngwenya brothers were very popular in the 90s when they burst into the music scene with their monster hit songs 'Gede Mwana Gede', which was like a national anthem. The group then recorded successive hits with their follow up albums. After a heart breaking split, Ngwenya Brothers slowly descended into a comatose which saw the group failing to release new music.
Word coming through the grapevine is that the surving member of the group Tedious Matsito is set to release his latest Sungura album, a development which will see the Ngwenya Brothers breaking a three-year silence following the fatal accident which killed some band members and destroyed their equipment.
In a recent interview Matsito said the six-track album would be ready by June and feature hit songs like “Mabasa,” “Hondo Yemari” and “Kurongerana” .
