Beyonce gives dynamic post baby performance

Beyonce
As expected, Beyonce wowed audiences on Friday (May 25) with her first concert performance at the Revel Casino Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., since giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy in January. The R&B queen is performing a four-show residency in Atlantic City over the Memorial Day weekend and, according to the critics and fans, B is back on top.
In a behind-the-scenes video for her weekend shows in Atlantic City, Beyonce said she was feeling a little nervous about returning to stage. “I’m enjoying being a mother, but this is like going back to my old job,” she says.

According to the Atlantic City Press, if the 30-year-old songbird had any backstage jitters they were non-existent when she performed Friday night. “I have to say, it feels so good to be home on the stage,” Beyonce told 5,500 cheering fans in attendance. “And I am so happy to share this moment with you.”

The New York Times also raved about Beyonce’s 2-hour concert, stating it was quick and full of continuous high points. Backed by an all-female band and 10 dancers, the R&B mom performed a slew of her chart-topping hits including ‘Run the World (Girls),’ ‘Countdown,’ ’1+1,’ ‘Freakum Dress,’ ‘Crazy in Love,’ ‘Irresistible’ and ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),’ which she closed the show with.

Midway through her set, Beyonce also paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston with a rendition of ‘I Will Always Love You’ back with her piano-driven ballad ‘Halo.’

Beyonce was also proud of her post-baby curves as she showed them off in a myriad of lavish outfits. According to reports, she went through four costume changes, including wearing a sparkling, showgirl-style fringed bra and shorts, which was designed by Ralph & Russo. Despite giving birth four months ago, Beyonce hasn’t lost a single step, dancing vigorously and effortlessly with her dancers onstage.

After her dazzling performance, Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z fired off this tweet: “I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine.” BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.  Mr. Carter (@S_C_) May 26, 2012 . Popcrush
