Gospel Artist: Magacha ties the knot

Talented gospel musician Sabastian Magacha on Friday tied the knot with his lover Nomsa Ndikumwe at a glittering ceremony at Bliss Gardens in Harare. The wedding attracted prominent  igures among them Information, Communication and Technology minister Nelson Chamisa,  Apostolic Faith Mission president Dr Aspher Madzivire, musicians Tembalami Kwenda, Joseph Madzivire, Mudiwa Mutandwa and Marble Madondo.

So ecstatic was Magacha that when the marriage officer Dr Madzivire announced now for what we all have been waiting for and told the groom to kiss the bride, the musician went straight for his new wifes lips. The Ridza Bhosvo hitmaker looked elegant in a three-piece Italian-designed silver tuxedo supplied by 4 May, the same fashion house that supplies rapper Mudiwa.

Coming on a $10 000 bride price, the gorgeous Nomsa was not to be outdone, as she showed off some class in an icy-white boob tube gown that drew wild screams from the women. Couture dresses, three inch-high stilettos and black tuxedos were just some of the fashion exploits that dominated the couples wedding.

The energetic star, who recently turned 28, blew the house down as he took to the stage with his bride to belt out his hit songs Ridza Bhosvo and Satani Imbava as guests gathered around them to sing along.Friends and family showed their love for the new couple with gifts such as household furniture and money in different currencies including euros.

Guests were also treated to some celebratory music from the star-studded Zim Praise Choir, Marble Madondo, Tembalami and Mudiwa. In an interview with NewsDay Chamisa praised Magacha for leading by example. The institution of marriage is the first government established by God and should be treated with sanctity, he said.

What Magacha has done is a good example to our countrys youths and should be emulated. Musicians Tembalami and Madzivire, who were part of the bridal team, said their friend had been exemplary to fellow musicians by walking down the aisle.

What our friend has set is a good precedence for us as musicians. It defies the myth that musicians do not marry, let alone wed, said Tembalami. Newsday
