Congrats to teen queen Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend, ‘Hunger Games’ star Liam Hemsworth, 22. The couple is engaged after three years of dating, which included a brief split.
Reps for the duo confirmed the news of the engagement exclusively to PEOPLE, with Cyrus saying,”I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam.”
Cyrus (19) and Hemsworth, who is Australian, met on the set of the film ‘The Last Song’ in 2009. They dated for about a year and broke up in August 2010. They got back together, broke up again in November of that year and then rekindled the relationship again in 2011. They’ve been going strong ever since.
Hemworth asked Cyrus for her hand on May 31, and then slipped a 3.5-carat, Neil Lane diamond her finger.
