Flamboyant prophet and founder of Spirit Embassy Ministries International, Prophet Eubert Angel is now driving a slick Bentley GTC. The prophet's new drive has divided his followers.
Prophet Angel, whose penchant for all things stylish is well documented was spotted driving his Bentley GT Continental w12 last week. He politely refused to speak to the Press and referred questions to Spirit Embassy public relations official identified as Pastor Brian Angel.
"Well, I am sorry I can't talk to you right now, I am rushing to attend a counselling session right now, you can talk to Pastor Brian. He can answer you on any issue regarding our church and principles. May God bless you," said Prophet Angel. Pastor Brian confirmed that the car was a gift. He refused to shed any more light.
"What is the big deal about that car my brother? Anyway it was a gift that the prophet received from one of our members as a sign of appreciating how the prophet has assisted him in his spiritual life. It was imported last week and as a ministry we are happy for the prophet and we hope God will continue blessing him and us his flock," he said.
However, other church members say the prophet bought the car himself and could be camouflaging it as a gift. Some say although they celebrated wealth accumulation, it did not sit well with them for a prophet in a poor country like Zimbabwe to be driving an overly expensive car. They say even if it was a gift Prophet Angel should have politely declined or better still, accepted it and then sold it to improve the lives of other Christians.
Responding to the criticism, Pastor Brian said he (Prophet Angel) could not decline the gift. He said that their church was involved in several philanthropic programmes in and out of the country.
