Munodawafa appeals for aid

Munyaradzi Munodawafa of Shandisa Chipo Chako fame is appealing for funding to travel to the United States for eye surgery. The operation is supposed to be his last, but the young artist has hit hard times after some of the sponsorship pledges failed to materialise.

Many will remember the singer from the 1990s to early 2000s when he rocked the airwaves with his video Mwari Vanoona at a tender age. “I was supposed to have gone for a third operation in 2010, which I would have been the final one, but I failed to get a visa,” he said. “The operation is now overdue, but I really have to go since I risk losing my sight completely.

Munodawafa shines at special schools festival

Munyaradzi Munodawafa of the Shandisa Chipo Chako fame left fans calling for more with his keyboard playing skills when he performed at the Special Schools Arts Festival that was held at St Giles on Friday.

Many will remember the visually impaired singer from the 1990s when he rocked the air waves and became a favourite. The then seven-year-old musician stole the hearts of music lovers with his video Mwari Vanoona.

Munodawafa’s fourth album finally out

Munyaradzi Munodawafa was born in 1988, he is partially blind, first hogged the music limelight at a very tender age, after exhibiting tremendous keyboard playing skills. He was famous for his hit song “Shandisa Chipo Chako” which was an impassioned plea to many physically challenged people to utilise their God-given talents. He went on to release his debut at the age of 10.
