KwaMereki to reopen this weekend

Popular open air drinking and braai spot KwaMereki will reopen this weekend after it was closed last week due to fears of disease outbreaks. If you missed the story read it here: Kwamereki closed by Police. There has been a typhoid outbreak in some parts of Harare in the last few weeks which city authorities are still battling to contain. Over 1 000 people have been treated of the disease. Shop and butchery operators at Mereki Shopping Centre helped food vendors to build toilets and food stalls.

Shiga Shiga, real name Gift Katulika, has left Peter Moyo’s Utakata saying he was tired of dancing Zora Butter on an empty stomach. “I can’t continue to do the Zora Butter dance on stage while my children do not have that same butter to put on their bread. Sometimes they even have to do without the bread. “I have three children, all of school-going age, and I believe this is the time for me to improve myself and in the process better the lives of my family. This is common sense,” said Shiga Shiga in emphasising his decision for leaving Utakataka.

Extra Large member Jimmy Mangezi was on Wednesday taken to court by a Bulawayo woman for neglecting his 10-year-old son sired with the woman in 2002. The woman, who is a foreign currency dealer, Farai Mupungu was demanding $220 monthly maintenance from Mangezi whom she said was a musician and had no payslip but earns $800.

They made the headlines last year when their sex tape found its way on the internet. TALENTED rapper Desmond ‘Stunner’ Chideme and his socialite girlfriend Pokello Nare have hinted they might get married this year and shame pessimists who presumed that the leakage of the homemade sex tape would hurt their relationship. 

The couple gave this hint in a five-minute long interview on Power FM Breakfast Show that was hosted by DJ Squilla this week. Speaking from United Kingdom where she joined her lover, Pokello told DJ Squilla live on air that there were HIGH chances that she might change her last name to Chideme this year meaning Stunner is likely to put a ring on that light skinned finger!

We believe that Zimbabwe’s sex symbol for 2011 was urban grooves artiste, Desmond “Stunner” Chideme. 

Born on May 11, 1980, Stunner started the year 2011 in the news for sex and ended it in the news for sex! 

For that he became a symbol for sex. Rewind to January 4, 2011 and Stunner underwent circumcision. He revealed to H-Metro that he was taking a six-week sabbatical from sex, which was a condition for the exercise.
