Samanyanga Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi and the once indomitable United States based Thomas ‘Mukanya’ Mapfumo will play at a joint gig in Johannesburg. The two Zimbabwean legends will be joined by Chiwoniso Maraire. Kevin Stuart of Breakout Management, said the gig dubbed ‘Zimza Festival will hold at Ellis Park on Sunday 9 October, 2011.
This promises to be a memorable gig. I hope Thomas can stick play his chimurenga beat like in the olden days!!!
