Former Ilanga member Andy Brown died at Parirenyatwa hospital yesterday at 4PM. Andy Brown was once married to Chiwoniso Maraire. He died aged 50, cause of death was not disclosed at the time of going to press. 

Andy brown made a name for himself after leaving Ilanga to pursue a solo career, which saw him attaining higher levels with songs such as Mapurisa, Mawere Kongonya and many others. Andy Brown's star began to fed when he became a political apologist for the ruling party.

Andy Brown was one of the most talented musicians to emerge in modern Zimbabwe. His passing is a great loss to the music fratenity in Zimbabwe, Africa and the whole world.
