Stunner and Ex-Q jets in Australia for Show

Ex Q and Stunner in Australia
Urban groovers, Stunner and Ex Q have arrived for their maiden tour of Australia. They are billed to perform in Melbourne on Friday and Sydney on Saturday. This is Ex Q’s first international tour. The urban groover said he would not be moved by his debut stage appearance outside the country.

Organiser of the Australia show Abraham Nyanzero said expectations were high in the Zimbabwean community. "People are looking forward to the show. Tickets are selling beyond expectations and we will definitely have a great event," said Nyanzero.

"Winky D performed in Melbourne last year and it was a full house, we are expecting the same. The last Zimbabwean to perform in Sydney was Oliver Mtukudzi who toured in 2007 hence music fans are eagerly waiting for a Zimbabwean musician."

Ex Q and Stunner are often referred to as the "bling boys" of urban grooves due to their sleek regalia and self-exalting lyrics. Last year Wallace "Winky D" Chirumiko, probably the most travelled urban groover, toured Australia and came back bragging that fans had kissed his shoes.

However Ex Q said he would not be intimidated by the standards that Winky D set. Winky D is a dancehall artist and he went there to perform his music and the people loved it. Similarly, I will go there with my different genre and the good thing is that we sing for different audiences," he said.

"I could only have a tough time if Winky D performed my music to a standard that I cannot match. I have been singing for the past 10 years and I am sure those who left for Australia that time still remember my music from back then." (Newsdzezimbabwe)

  1. Have fun but dissappointed that I won't c the duo. No Zim artist ever comes to Adelaide even if it that close to Melbourne.
