Rumours has it that Zimbabwe's top footballer Benjani Mwaruwaru is heading back to South Africa to rejoin Jomo Cosmos. The Mancity and Portsmouth former striker is reported to have reached an agreement with Jomo Sono, owner and oach of Jomo Cosmos Football club.
Sono, said he reached an agreement with the 33-year-old striker, who scooped the PSL Player of the Season and PSL Players’ Player of the Season in 2001. Benjani spent three years at Cosmos, scoring 20 goals in 44 matches, before leaving for Auxerre in the French first division. He had a loan spell with Grasshoppers in Switzerland before moving to Portsmouth in England. He also played for City, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers before his second spell with Portsmouth.
