Fellow Musicians Visit Progress Chipfumo

FELLOW MUSICIANS and promoters yesterday paid the ailing Progress Chipfumo a courtesy call at his Southerton house after learning about his illness. If you missed the story read it here: Progress Chipfumo ill.
The Sounds of the Motherland front man is receiving treatment at home after being diagnosed Tuberculosis early this month. Promoters Barbara Chikosi and Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza, musicians First Farai, Somandla Ndebele, Peter Moyo, Jah Prayzah and Fungisai Zvakavapano paid the talented musician a visit.

Chimbodza, who had a good working relationship with Proggy, said: “He is our friend and colleague in business. “We opted to come and see him after learning from the Press that he was unwell. “He also missed the Charity match yet he was one of the musicians who never missed the event since its inception. “We need to show him that we can support him during good and bad times.

“Proggy is a socialist and its pay back time for us to visit him. We are happy that his wife (Sindiswa) Khumalo is there for him.” Chipaz added: “As promoters, we will try to mobilise funds to assist him during this difficult time. “We have done that for other musicians who were in need although some of them are now late.” (H-Metro)
