SA’s Zahara to Perform in Harare in March

Aww, i wish i was in Harare....I just love Zahara's sensous jazzy music....Enjoy her debute song Loliwe, which is my favourite below....please leave your comments after listening to the track...nuff respect.

SOUTH AFRICA'S pop sensation, Zahara, is expected to stage her maiden performance in Zimbabwe on March 2 courtesy of May 7 Entertainment. Her concert - to be staged at the Harare International Conference Centre - will be the second in Zimbabwe this year by a high-profile foreign artiste after the Mavado show held in Harare and Chitungwiza recently.

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter has taken South Africa's music scene by storm and her album, Loliwe (‘train' in the Xhosa language), has sold like hot cakes since its release late last year. Her star has risen beyond the borders of South Africa and Zimbabwean music lovers, who have been yearning to see the soulful diva in action stand a chance to see her live with her 10-member band.

"She will definitely come to Zimbabwe with her 10-member group and this is a chance for locals to watch her live in action ever since she gained international acclaim," Max Mugaba of May 7 Entertainment said. Local divas Chiwoniso Maraire and Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana are expected to be the supporting acts. Chi, as Chiwoniso is fondly called in music circles, is also an internationally acclaimed musician herself with her album "Ancient Voices" among others, having won her fame far and wide.
