Chris Brown set to hit his first UK number 1 berth

Chris Brown
Chris Brown is poised to achieve his first No. 1 single in the U.K., according to Official Charts Company. His dance track, ‘Turn Up the Music,’ is charging up the tally and could bump Katy Perry off her perch with her single, ‘Part of Me,’ on Sunday.
If Breezy reaches the top of the U.K. chart, it would be his personal best since he reached the No. 2 spot with ‘Run It’ (Featuring Julez Santana) in 2006. This is promising news for Brown as he prepares to release his new album Fortune on May 4.

Meanwhile, Brown is the latest celebrity to wear a hoodie in remembrance of Trayvon Martin. On Tuesday, the R&B singer tweeted out a few pictures of himself and his crew wearing ‘F.A.M.E.’ and ‘Fortune’ hoodies.

Brown follows other artists like Diddy, Frank Ocean, The-Dream and others who don hoodies on Twitter in support of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed 17-year-old teen who was shot to death by neighborhood watch guard George Zimmerman in Sanford, Fla. It was Martin’s hoodie that aroused suspicion with Zimmerman, which led to the deadly shooting. The case has sparked “Million Hoodies” marches in cities nationwide to seek justice for Martin.

In addition, veteran songbird Chaka Khan released an all-star tribute song to the late teen called ‘Super Life,’ with the message “Fear Kills. Love Heals.” culled from popcrush.com
