R&B singer Brandy gets emotional as she dedicates concert performance to idol Whitney Houston

Brandy
Brandy dedicated a heartfelt performance to Whitney Houston during a concert last night in Los Angeles. Ever since the two co-starred together in the 1997 TV movie Cinderella, Brandy has looked up to the How Will I Know singer.
In her first performance since Houston passed away last month, Brandy sang her 2008 hit Right Here (Departed) and dedicated it to the late singer during a set at The Factory nightclub. Before she sang the song, Brandy said: 'If she was here with us now in the physical, this is what I would tell her.'

Then the 33-year-old singer went on to wow the crowd with her emotional performance, although bowed out of singing any of Houston's songs.'I heard there was a rumour that i was doing a Whitney Houston tribute tonight – unfortunately that’s not true, because I would be an emotional wreck right now,' she told the crowd.

'I’m just not ready to sing any of her songs. you guys know what that’s like.' Brandy's brother Ray J was left devastated by the death of his one-time girlfriend Houston last month. At the singer's funeral, Ray J was reduced to tears as he watched her casket being carried out of the church.
