David Beckham organises 'the best birthday present ever' for his son Brooklyn THEN they go hang out with none other than Denzel Washington. Usher phoned up Brooklyn Beckham to sing 'Happy Birthday' to him when he turned 13 on Sunday (04.03.12).
The youngster's parents, David and Victoria Beckham, are good friends with the 'Burn' singer and when their eldest son became a teenager they asked him to surprise the lad with a song. A source close to the couple - who are also parents to Romeo, nine, Cruz, seven, and seven-month-old Harper - told the Daily Star newspaper:"Brooklyn was having a great morning sharing all of his presents with his little brothers. "He's naturally quite shy and isn't one for courting attention, even on his birthday.
"As he was unwrapping a new Arsenal soccer kit, David casually walked in telling him there was someone on the phone who wanted to wish him 'Happy Birthday'. "Brooklyn had been getting calls from England all morning so just assumed it was another relative.
"When he picked up the phone, Usher sang 'Happy Birthday'. "Brooklyn is crazy about Usher and has met him a few times. He went bright red and started to get really shy. He told his dad after that it was the best present ever." As well as getting a phone call from Usher, soccer star David also treated Brooklyn to tickets to an LA Lakers basketball game. The father-and-son duo spent some quality bonding time watching the game and eating popcorn and nachos and were joined in the front row by Denzel Washington.
