Weekend outing in Harare

TGIF, the weekend is upon us again, that means its time to unwind from the week long activities. if you are in Harare, you are spoiled for choice as the following venues host entertainment gurus this weekend:
 
Andy Millar HallAndy Millar Hall will roar into life tonight with Nigeria’s Flavour Nabania of the Nwa Babe (Sawale) fame staging his first performance in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe’s finest musicians, Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi and Alexio Kawara will warm up the stage for the Nigerian superstar. The event which has been dubbed “Africa Day Celebrations” will also feature DJs Dee Nosh and Flevah.

National Sports StadiumTomorrow afternoon, there will be a rare treat for music and soccer lovers as sungura musicians Alick Macheso, Peter “Dewa” Moyo and Jah Prayzah will perform at the Benjani Mwaruwari Testimonial Match. Emmanuel Adebayor, Alex Song, Austin “Jay Jay” Okocha and El Hadji Diouf, will be some of the international soccer stars to play at the match.

Gecko GardensPopularly known as Mic Inity in the entertainment circles, Mike Madamombe will tomorrow afternoon launch his debut album titled Freedom at the Gecko Gardens.

Spillway Pub & RestaurantOliver Mtukudzi and Alexio Kawara will join forces to entertain revellers at the Spillway Pub tomorrow afternoon.

Mutangaz Hide-OutThe hide-out in Ruwa will tonight host an “Africa Day Special” with performances by Peter Moyo, Tryson Chimbetu, Apama Style and Orchestra Nhapitapi.

Musakanene BarAfrican Dancing Queens entertain merrymakers this afternoon at the outdoor venue along old Seke Road. Tomorrow Sounds of the Muddy Face perform at the venue.

Jazz 105The home of jazz music will tonight host Sulumani Chimbetu’s birthday bash that will feature Allan Chimbetu and Munya Mataruse.
