Nicki Minaj Sides With Drake in Chris Brown Nightclub Brawl

Drake, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown
Young Money queen Nicki Minaj has weighed in on the violent nightclub brawl between Chris Brown and Drake at club W.i.P. in New York City. In a recent interview with U.K. radio personality Tim Westwood, the rapper remained loyal to her YMCMB team and supported her labelmate Drake.

“Young Money till the death of me,” she said in her faux British accent. “I don’t approve of talented people doing things that aren’t conducive to an amazing career.”

“And so — you know — I spoke to Drake and I told him from the bottom of my heart how I felt. I’m like, ‘Baby you are a superstar, and I need you to realize that.’ He did nothing wrong of course, rumors are rumors, but I told him to remember who you are.”

Minaj then offered some good advice to Drizzy if he should ever have the urge to, uh, pop champagne bottles at a club. “Not that he did anything wrong, but sometimes you just might need to go to bed [and] have an early nap. I do it all the damn time,” she says. Drake, are you listening?

Meanwhile, the investigation into the nightclub fight is still ongoing and so are the lawsuits. Greenhouse, the company that runs the W.i.P. (Work in Progress) club, has filed a lawsuit against New York City for shutting down their venue. The city filed 14 charges against the club owners following the brawl and could possibly revoke their liquor license. The company claims that since its closure, they have been losing $264,000 a week in revenue.

Their lawsuit follows behind NBA star Tony Parker’s legal dispute against the W.i.P. club. The b-baller is suing the club for negligence after suffering an eye injury during the melee.

Attorneys for the city had no comment on Greenhouse’s lawsuit. Popcrush
