Rising dancehall sensation Emegy Chizanga, popularly known as Freeman, is set to travel to the United Kingdom in August for two shows. He travels with Credence Tsurira aka Cally C, with whom he did the track Joina City and Jay C of the Dangerzone family.

The tour, dubbed “The Dangerzone UK Take-Over Tour”, will see Freeman — now affectionately known as the Dancehall Doctor by his fans — performing in Birmingham and London, on August 3 and 4 respectively.The three will also be joined by UK-based reggae artists Bingiman, Boyz Retonaz and Roby Gee, who are among the most famous Zimbabwean artists in the Diaspora, for the shows.

Freeman robbed twice in one night

Dancehall “Doctor” Freeman of Joina City fame had a nasty experience with thieves two weeks ago when he was robbed home and away. Freeman attended a show in Chitungwiza only to be robbed of his wallet by some fans who mobbed him after the show.

Freeman to launch second album

Joina City hit-maker Emegy Chizanga popularly known as Freeman in showbiz circles is set to launch his second 14- track album titled The Last Man Standing. The album was supposed to be launched on March 3 at Barca Sports Club but it was rescheduled to March 10 as another local dancehall artiste Guspy Warrior will be also launching his album on the same date and at the same venue.
