Its tomorrow night - Tuku Vs Cheso Power

If you are in Harare, I am sure you wouldn't want to miss this concert for anything. This gig promises to be the biggest concert of the year in Harare.ALICK MACHESO will tomorrow host Norton-based Superstar Oliver Mtukudzi in a potentially explosive double at Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex. Dubbed the ‘Titanic Clash’, this is Macheso’s FIRST show after the birth of his second (official) son Alick Junior or simply Zivikomborero.
The son was born last Sunday. The timing of the show has compelled Macheso’s fans to christen the show Alick Jnr’s ‘Baby Welcome’.
This is technically Alick Macheso’s baby welcome party because it will be staged just SIX days after the birth of his second son. “This calls for celebrations from us the fans as we join him in his times of joy,” said one staunch fan who identified himself as Tich Chitate. The irony is Tuku lost his son last year and he shares the stage with Macheso just six days after his son’s birth. Instead of it being a competition, it is in fact a mission to celebrate Macheso’s new son who might probably emulate the late Sam Mtukudzi in following their father’s footsteps.
However, the event organiser Habis Joseph was quoted in a local daily saying: “Tuku will perform with the Black Spirits while Macheso will take the stage with his Orchestra Mberikwazvo and only the crowds will see for themselves who the biggest between the two is”.
