One of Africa's strong man Colonel Muamar Gaddafi escaped his beloved country Libya in haste after rebels backed by NATO airstrikes over threw Gaddafi loyalist fighter in Tripoli this week.
One rebel commander was quoted as saying 'Gaddafi and his family fled like rats'. What a shameful way to go.
The once defiant tyrant escaped from his compound and his whereabouts are unknown. Rebels have taken over his mantle and are planning to set up a transitional government.
