Vabati VaJehova Still going strong

Mamrod Magaya, leader of popular apostolic choral group Vabati VaJehovah, has said their group and music has grown stronger with the release of their new album Denga Idzva recently. Speaking after a pulsating performance at the Commissioner’s Funfair at Morris Depot grounds, Magaya said the album had been well received.“
We are excelling and moving to greater heights and the reception to our new album is overwhelming,” said Magaya.“Our schedule is tight as we are performing almost every week at various shows. Ministering through music is our mission and we will continue delivering our very best.”

Despite death robbing them of two founding members, Timothy and Wiseman Magaya, and the sudden departure of Samson Tawengwa who formed his own group, Vabati VaJehovah have remained resolute.

Unlike other groups who disappeared from the scene after losing founding or important members Vabati VaJehovah have proved their prowess through the new album. The group has released 12 albums so far and they had made history after their maiden appearance at the Harare International Festival of Arts in 2010.

These guys are just awesome, beautiful harmonic sounds without instruments....
