Nineteen-year-old Faith Tapiwa Nhemachena, is this year’s Miss Zimbabwe UK. The bio-medical sciences university student last Saturday beat a field of 14 Zimbabwean beauties to win the pageant in front of Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara.
Harare-born Faith, who moved to Britain with her parents and younger brother in 2004, put in a flawless performance on the night and scored big with the judges. Jacqueline Tinkenawo came in as the first princess while Gumisai Makombe was second runner-up.
Faith said after her triumphant night: “It’s something I wanted to do to give me a profile to take on social campaigns that are close to my heart.
