Mic Inity in Studio Working On Debut Album

If there's a question that has done many rounds in Zimbabwe's reggae circles, it has to be: When will Mic Inity record an album? Now, it's happening.

The musician is currently in the studio working on an album, it has been learnt. Mic Inity revealed small details of the project in a post on his Facebook Wall which read: "In the studio right now. I think this track is gonna be a hit!"

Mic Inity refused to reveal more details of the recording saying instead that information will be revealed in good time. Howver, he added that a free song will be released to his fans next week.

A spokesperson for Mic Inity confirmed that the reggae maestro is indeed currently in the studio polishing songs which will feature on the album.

For many followers of Zimbabwe's underground reggae scene, predominantly in Harare, the question of when Mic Inity will release his own album has been long asked. Given Mic Inity's wide vocal range, many people felt that he was shortchanging fans by only doing cover versions instead of doing his own original stuff.

So news that he is currently working on album will come as a sweet relief to many. With the massive fan base than Mici Inity has built over the years, there is no doubt that his album will be one of the most anticipated this year. (izimbabwe)
