Joe Thomas to Perform in South Africa in December

Joe Thomas is a talented music who burst onto the music scene with his first release in 1993, since then, Joe has over the years collaborated with a number of artists, such as Keith Sweat and Mariah Carey. Joe Thomas will be heading to South African in December. His south Africa tour will see him perform at the Durban ICC on December 17 and the Sandton Convention Centre on December 18.

Adele tops AIM Independent Awards nominees

Independent record label XL Recordings, home to chart topper Adele, underlined a record-breaking year with seven nominations at the inaugural AIM Independent Music Awards. Adele’s 21, on course to be the biggest selling album in both Britain and the United States this year, was nominated on Thursday in the “best difficult second album” category alongside label stablemates Friendly Fires for “Pala.”

XL’s The Horrors and SBTRKT are also head-to-head for the independent breakthrough of the year title, while Adele, Vampire Weekend and The xx, all at XL, compete for the most played independent artist. 

The awards, organised by the Association of Independent Music (AIM), are designed to recognise talent in the music business outside the four major record companies. 

Cabo Snoop and Buffalo Souljah collabo riding high

CABO Snoop, one of the continent's best known house music superstars, is riding high on DStv's Channel O music station with a new video which he features Zimbabwe's own Buffalo Souljah and his ally Dj Waxxy. The video is already receiving heavy rotation on Channel O and Buffalo shines on the video as he laces his Shona lyrics over a thumbing bassline.

Apparently, Cabo Snoop's music, particularly the world hit "Windeck", assured his foothold in the international house music scene when he collaborated with hitmakers such as Fat Joe and South Africa's JR.

Winfrey tops the list for the second time keeping the title of the world’s top woman earner. Forbes has released its annual list of the highest paid women in the entertainment industry.

Do you still remember the Fugees? Yes, Lauryn Hill?. Well she is being sued by a fashion consultant for breach of contract. The gist is that the Fashion consultant who fitted Lauryn Hill with clothes for her European tour back in 2007 is suing the singer, claiming Lauryn jacked her threads. According to a lawsuit filed in L.A.

Or fashion week in Harper Beckham's case, who has made her first trip to New York with her designer mother Victoria for the start of the stylish event.

Tongai Moyo Cancels Botswana tour due to illness

Sungura artiste Tongai Moyo’s health has reportedly deteriorated forcing him to abort last weekend’s Botswana tour. Dhewa, as he is affectionately known by his followers, was reported to be in a critical condition at St Anne’s Hospital on Saturday. “His whole body was shaking. It was like he was having fits,” narrated a close friend on Saturday. “His condition was just bad,” added the friend who declined to be named.

She is well known for her array of risqué and revealing stage outfits. But an off duty Rihanna was covering up today in a smart black suit for a day of bonding with her little brother Rajad in Los Angeles. With her brown curly hair tied up in a high ponytail, the 23-year-old superstar did her best to blend into the crowds at outdoor shopping mall The Grove. The star looked smart and sophisticated in the trouser suit which she teamed with a pair of black heels and sunglasses.

Rapper Sean Combs drinks vodka straight from bottle on Labor day

Diddy gets into the party spirit, quite literally, as he guzzles vodka straight from the bottle. The 41-year-old rap star was hosting a party at ultra-cool Vegas hotel, The Palms. He took over Palms Pool, the venue's outdoor playground, which boasts two acres of swimming pool. The U.S. star was downing French vodka brand Cîroc as he took to the stage clad in a standout pink T-shirt. He was joined by fellow rapper Akon, who was dressed entirely in white. Christina Milian was another celebrity VIP guest spotted at the event, marking America's Labor Day holiday weekend.

Will and Jada Pinket Smith Deny separation rumours

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith released a direct denial of In Touch Weekly’s story. Yesterday, various media outlets got advanced copies of ITW”S big story this week, about how Jada Pinkett Smith screwed around with Marc Anthony on the set of HawthoRNe and how that affair led to Jada and Will’s split. 

Most of the day was full of unnamed sources coming out of the woodwork to proclaim that Jada and Will were fine, and Will’s son Trey even came out to deny the split story. 

Finally, Jada’s rep got her ass in gear and denied the Marc Anthony affair to Us Weekly, and then Will and Jada offered a joint statement denial:

“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false,” the couple said in a joint statement Tuesday. “We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”
