Miss Zimbabwe SA crowned

Miss Zimbabwe-SA, Vimbai Sithole with her two princesses. 

Vimbai Sithole, a Public Relations Student at the University of South Africa, is this year’s winner of the Miss Zimbabwe-SA pageant. The 21-year-old beat 11 other contestants to land the crown and its R2 500 first prize at a glittering ceremony at the City Hall here. 18-year-old Lisa Skhosana and Samantha Kudzanai Nyampanda, 20, were voted the first and second princesses respectively.

The elated winner said the award would set her on a road she had always dreamt of. “It’s the happiest moment of my life, a dream come true indeed,” she told The Zimbabwean soon after the ceremony. “This is the beginning of my modelling career and comes from determination and proper training. This is testimony that following one’s dreams does lead to success in life.”
