Young Igwe, Peter Moyo will introduce three of his new songs as he opens his debut live show performance for this year at Harare’s City Sports Bar. The debut concert which is pencilled for this Thursday, January 20, will no doubt be an exciting encounter as the young performer instils new songs in his bill.
Peter, who had a terrific festive season in which he held successful concerts after the death of his father, said he had been busy with rehearsals with the band as he readies for 2012. “I am always locked at home with the band rehearsing. It has been work and work since the passing on of my father as we fight to keep up his legacy,” said Peter.
The young Igwe told Daily News on Sunday that he will on Thursday unveil some new songs for his multitude of fans.“It is always good to compose new songs and I have laid down three songs — one is dedicated to my father, while the other two are renditions from his catalogue but remixed with fresh lyrics. As we move into the New Year, there will be new songs coming and who knows what we will have by the end of the year,” said Peter.
