The memoir, to be called Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom, will reveal what life was like for Patti as a single mother as well as reveal some Bieber family secrets. Those include her battles with poverty and teen pregnancy, as well as drug and alcohol abuse. Now 36, Pattie will even discuss how she tried to commit suicide at the age of 17.
She credits her son with both saving and changing her life. The 18-year-old singer fully supports the project, and has even written the book's foreward. Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group, is releasing the tome on September 18.
Revell's editorial director, Jennifer Leep, says of the book: 'Pattie's story is a powerful example of courage and determination that will inspire anyone who has faced struggles in her life. 'She's living proof that even in the darkest of places there is always room for hope.'
Pattie revealed her reasons for writing said memoirs in a press release, saying she wanted to send a positive message to teenage girls facing similar problems. She said; 'I want them to see that no matter how desperate their circumstances may be, they can have hope for a better future.' (Dailynews)
